Last week we held a "Paws"itive Choices event! Students learned about healthy and positive choices from the Old Town Orono YMCA, Bike Coalition, Northern Light, Milford Fire, Penquis, and our own Mr. Henry! We'd like to thank all of our presenters and Old Town Hannaford, Bangor Savings Bank, and Northern Light for the donation of bags for our students to bring information home to their families! Students were able to learn and have fun while focusing on how to make themselves happy and healthy! We can't wait to do it again next year!

Today 6th graders had the chance to welcome Chief Kirk Francis and James Francis from the Penobscot Nation into their classroom. They got to learn all about the history of the Penobscot Nation , the land, what a chief does and how they use to survive off the land! We learned a lot and want to thank Chief Francis and Mr. Francis for spending time with us today

Good Morning, Route 178 or the Bradley Road in Milford is scheduled to have two separate repair projects in the coming weeks. In both projects, there will be a detour via the County Road in Milford, so passenger cars and school bus traffic will be able to flow, likely slowly. Here are details from Maine DOT: Route 178 Closure November 7-9 due to a culvert repair at the junction of Route 178 and Pleasant Street, Milford. There will be a detour through Pleasant Street and the County Road for passenger vehicles, EMS and school buses. This area will be flagged 24/7 throughout the project. The presence of this flagger and the nature of this project will cause travel delays. Please plan accordingly. The railroad crossing project (delayed from October) at the junction of Route 2 and Route 178 is scheduled for November 12 & 13. The detour for this project will be the same as mentioned above, however, a flagger will not be needed so there should be minimal delays. Sincerely, Trish Clark Superintendent

School will be in session today. Out of abundance of caution, we will continue to conduct our daily business inside of the building only. We would like to thank the Sheriff department for all the support and security they continue to provide. Recess will be held inside today. All after school activities will be canceled today. The 5-8 school dance will be postponed until next Friday (11/3/23). Stay safe wildcat family!

Our school is working to assure safety in lieu of the recent events in Lewiston. Our thoughts are with the community of Lewiston during this tragic time. We would like to thank the Penobscot County Sheriffs Department for their help in planning and for their presence at the school today. Our students have remained in the building and the Pawsitive choices event was also moved inside. All after school activities for today will be cancelled.

The Wildcat Boys Soccer Team sadly closed their season yesterday against Bangor Christian. In our most heated match yet, the boys took to the field and put all they had learned to work. With the addition of Kal'El L to the defense, the boys had a strong lineup and put the pressure on Bangor. Logan S had a goal in the first half along with a number of shots from the rest of the offense throughout the game. In the end, it was an unfortunate penalty kick that took the game from us. Nonetheless, it was a stellar game all around and the boys have much to be proud of this season. Next year will be even better. This Friday, everyone is invited to attend the first annual Milford Soccer Slam from 3:30 - 5:30. Two epic matches will take place. The 5th & 8th grade boys take on the 6th & 7th grade boys then the girls and boys soccer teams will pair up and take on their parents and some of our very own Lewis Libby staff.

The cross country team competed yesterday at Caravel Middle School. Despite having to run a long two-loop course, everyone gave it their best. Congratulations to Charles L, Madison N, Stephen M, Joe L, and Elijah M on yet another great race. Special congratulations to Joseph M who competed in his very first race of the season. With the final race only a week away, this school can expect great things from this team. Practice is today from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Please meet at the basketball court.

The Lady Wildcats played their last game of the season and proved how much they have improved over the season! We lost our first game against Caravel 7-0 at the beginning of the season but held them to only 4 goals last night! Kylie D scored the only Wildcat goal with an assist by Sophia R. The girls played hard and the ref even commented on how they never backed down! Thanks for a great season!!
