Old Town High School’s pep rally is cancelled today due to no school at the high school.
There will be no school today, Friday, February 17th due to weather.
We want to wish our cheerleaders good luck tonight at their competition! The cheering competition can be viewed live starting at 6 p.m. tonight on BCS Patriots Stream.

EARLY RELEASE AND WINTER BREAK REMINDER
This is a reminder that Friday, February 17th is an early release day. Lunch will be served and students will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m. Please plan accordingly for your child.
Students will return to classes on Monday, February 27th after the winter break. We hope everyone has a happy, healthy break!

This week our 8th grade students were invited to attend the John Bapst Step Up day! Many of our students attended and even had some past Wildcats as tour guides!
Mrs. Weissman's class celebrated the 100th day of school with some fun math stations this morning! The students favorite station was the 100s chart puzzles! Students used their knowledge of number sense and number patterns to solve the different puzzles.
First grade spent their day doing activities to celebrate the 100th day of school!
They made 100s day necklaces, a 100s day snack, played race to 100, and ended with team building by making a 100 cup tower.

We are getting excited for our middle school ice fishing trip on February 16th! We are currently looking for chaperones or adults experienced in ice fishing to help out! Please reach out to Mr. Wilcox if interested!
The Maine Department of Education is challenging us once again. It's called the Read to ME Challenge and does not require anything to be sent into school. It does "require" reading 15 minutes a day with your child. See the description below with the link included. We hope to see some captured moments of reading at home!
"The Read to ME Challenge is intended to bolster enjoyment in reading and to support children’s literacy growth by challenging adults to read to and/or with children for at least 15 minutes during the month of February. Step up day is tomorrow! Students should be dropped off at the front door of John Bapst and look for the Lewis Libby table/seating. Mrs. McDunnah will be there to help! Adults should pick up their students outside the front door at the end of the event. See the flyer below for details!
There will be a regular school day tomorrow, Tuesday, February 7th. The frozen pipe and sprinkler system has been fixed. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

5th grade and kindergarten celebrated national Read Aloud Day with Mrs. Hogan in the library! 5th grade took part in a live presentation with an author in South Africa! Kindergarten saw a live read aloud with authors from Canada and the UK!
